Matrix is Hebbia's flagship AI platform that uses a spreadsheet-like interface where rows represent documents and columns represent questions, with AI agents running in parallel to fill every cell simultaneously. It is built on a proprietary ISD architecture that breaks complex requests into smaller logical steps, performs iterative search to retrieve relevant information, and uses LLMs to reason, synthesize, and generate cited answers. The platform is natively multi-modal, processing PDFs, images, email chains, presentations, spreadsheets, and filings. Matrix employs a multi-agent framework called Agent 2.0 with a central orchestrator dispatching tasks to specialized subagents, enabling an effectively infinite context window that can reason across millions of pages.
