n8n AI Agent Node is the platform's core AI orchestration layer that enables users to build autonomous AI agents through a drag-and-drop visual interface. It uses LangChain-powered reasoning to make decisions and determine which tools to invoke, supporting six agent types: Conversational Agent, OpenAI Functions Agent, Plan and Execute Agent, ReAct Agent, SQL Agent, and Tools Agent. Agents can query APIs, update CRMs, send emails, search the web, access databases, and interact with vector stores autonomously within defined guardrails.
